Secession Building and the Kunsthistorisches Museum

The Secessionist Building is near the Museum Quarter district of Vienna. It is an exhibition hall and was built to demonstrate the architectural manifesto of the Vienna Secessionist movement. While we didn't have time to go inside, you could marvel at the details on the outside of the building.

The Kunsthistorisches Museum is the museum of art history. It contains treasures from the Austrian monarchy dating back to Ancient Egypt. Of particular note are the works of artists Raphael, Brueghel, Arcimboldo, Vermeer, Cranach and the the treasures of the Hapsburgs and the Kaisers.
